earth day 2010
we started off our earth day with some left over candy gummies from easter... they are earthy... right...
then i wanted to add a little something to the garden... and thought... lets head to home depot... the only thing that hasnt begin to grow in our garden is our watermelon... so i thought we would get a watermelon kit for kids... they are only 97 cents in the seed section! unfortunately... i think some other people may have had the same idea... they were all out!
so we opted for something else... i would have loved to buy the $300 dollar full grown avocado tree that the nice local woman i met while browsing told me to get... but i was hoping to spend less than a dollar to begin with...
so we opted for one of my new most favorite flowers...
a calla lily
for only $5 we had ourselves a new flower to beautify our yard...
and while i planted it...
jones was being very cheesy...
first... on the way home... he would not let me forget that i promised him a cheese rollup from taco bell
(i know... very earthy too)...
then after, with all the sauce from his burrito on his face, he smiled away...
"cheese"
and spit...
(not cheese)
and didnt look when i said three...
my love for this flower:
they are so beautiful... they stand so strong and tall... they are so simple and elegant!
to me this flower speaks : serenity : peace : soft competence
and usually i would choose the classic white flower, but the yellow seemed to be so happy i couldnt resist the color... plus jones choose this specific pot of flowers...

Those are my favorite flowers too, although I love the white ones. Looks like you and Jones are having a great time, and he sounds so funny :)
