happy thanksgiving...

beach, hat & bananas...

i have had these pictures for awhile and had not had a chance to blog about them... so...

jones has begun to act like he is a big kid... or at least he wants to be... he always wants to do what we are doing and eat what we are eating... he just wants to be a part of everything... it is so fun to watch him... beach... hats... and bananans...

the beach... we love the beach.... he is so curious about the sounds, birds and water at the beach... he loves it...

hats... one day i was wearing a hat and jones would not leave it alone... he kept pulling and grabbing it every chance he got... so i finally put his own hat on... and he then left mine alone and actually wore his...

bananas... once again... jones wanted what i had... i was eating a banana and he just kept watching me... until finally i gave him the banana to try it himself... such a mess... but he had fun!

we were laughing pretty hard... i didnt even know that swimsuits could be an option at public pools in mexico...

we had a fun family home evening last monday with the woods... i bought these gigantic marshmallows a while ago thinking that it would be so fun to have gigantic smores... so... for family night we had a campfire, made hot dogs with avacados, onions, tomatoes and all the regular stuff.... then SMORES... yummmy... i love smores... it was so nice outside... a little cold, but perfect with the fire...

i got a little impatient trying to make a golden brown marshmallow...

jones was not so sure about his marshmallow either...

rip... stick...

brent is in love... with his rip stick... i make fun of him because at least half of the kids in our neighborhood are constantly going down the street on rip sticks... that is right kids... boys and girls... so it is funny because you see them and then brent cruising by... haha...

but... someone else fell in love... no not me... i havent even tried the thing yet...

jones... he wont take his eyes off the thing...

firsts...

jones had a few firsts in the last few weeks...

first time touching grass...

he went crazy!!!

first time in a box... he loved every second...

first time down a slide... the picture says it all...

love thursday....

it all started when i joined the gym so that i could take jones to swimming lessons... then i thought it might be fun to try a dance class or two that they offer... there are three... jazzercise, baile latino and zumba... i first tried zumba and liked it a lot more than i thought... then jazzercise, which has a latin twist to it... and then last and although very intimidating... baile latino...

i am hooked!!! although i may not move like i have salsa in my blood it is so fun to learn and laugh... it is my therapy for the day...

the gym wanted to have a big party for its one year anniversary and had started to ask if we as clients would like to participate... each class would perform a dance that showcases what the class is about... somehow i started out doing only one dance for one class and then ended up doing all three dances for all three classes...

we had so much fun... and danced to so many different songs... shakira to flo-rida... regeton to pop... and even hip hop... i never knew that i liked to dance so much... isnt it funny the things you find out about yourself if you just dont worry what others think... i hope i can always remember that....

saturday...

last saturday was so fun... jones and brent hung out in the morning in pjs and watched baby einstein

then we went to the beach...

it didnt start out as fun... jones did a face dive into the sand... and wasnt so sure about the water at first... it has gotten a lot cooler the last few weeks...

but he finally warmed up and was loving the water... it will probably be the last time we can go this year... he loves the water....

yeah....
