dinos...

the ancient life museum at thanksgiving point in lehi was also a lot of fun! it reminded me a lot of my historical geology class...
i love that class so much that i thought about becoming a geology major... then i found out that not all geology classes were historical geology...
my grandma and i took my cousins, harrison and brevin, and jones for some dinosaur fun...
first we did a fossil dig...
above: harrison and jones
below: brevin
then we weighed ourselves to see what kind of dinosaur we would weigh like...
jones was loving seeing all the different kinds of dinosaurs...
then we found his favorite dinosaur... it was too big for a picture... so we got his neck head and tail in the back ground... but he was very excited to see a brachiosaurus just like the one he has and brings with us everywhere...
then we found the erosion table... it was so fun to play in the sand and water... they played here forever!!!
then we had to go and see baby cason again... and jones got to hold him this time! he was so cute and tender with him...

:::::
i took brandon to one of my favorite restaurants in down town slc...
siegfried's... you cant beat their classic ruebens with spicy mustard! and the potato salad! yum!!!
and jones loved finding a european chocolate lamb after he finished his turkey rueben...
"baaaaa"
then... we were too close to the temple to not visit for a few mins... jones had to climb every set of stairs at least once!
then when the wedding parties were in the way... he chose this spot to watch them...
i can never get over how beautiful the slc temple is... and i will never understand how they built it without our modern day technologies and equipment... amazing!!!!
these doors are beautiful!!!!!!!
then we made our way to gateway discovery to meet my aunt and uncle and their boy jaxon... we went to another childrens museum that is the perfect place to spend energy while learning!
first we played in the air tubes... watching where the balls would fly... i think jones just loved having the air blow his face away...
jones playing with jaxon...
it was so hard to help jones understand that there was more than just the water works area... he would have stayed there all day...
the have a wind tunnel and some cupcake liners so you can recreate what a parachute would be like... we also did this for quite a long time...
one of my favorites was a HUGE magnetic wall that had a ton of magnetic pvc pipes... you can create your own track of tubes and then put balls in and watch them come down...

tree house...

jones and i met friends for a play date while in utah... holly, trevor and lucy... the boys had so much fun together...
first we went to lunch... not for "see food"... but some of the yummiest hamburgers!
can you tell they were so happy and excited to play!

then we went to "the tree house"... it was such a cute place where kids can run around and just have so much fun and learn!
i loved that the walls were covered with quotes... this was my favorite:

...if we are to teach real peace in the world,
we shall have to begin with the children...
mohandas gahndi

the boys were so into these crafts... neither one would look up for one second for the picture...
i loved this... there was a mini oval office and they both climbed up and studied the information on the desk... so serious!
i think this was my favorite area... the music area... there were drums and everything possible that could make noise and music... it was great!
there was a midevil section with dress-ups, a stage and a castle... jones chose the hand puppets...
and then a game of chess...
we had so much fun!

(if you click on the award it should be legible)
i love you and am so proud!!!!

first fishing trip...

jones had such a fun time on his first fishing trip...
he loved every second...
digging up the worms... which i was so thankful for... i hate getting them... so i was proud that he would touch them and do everything his mama was too chicken for...
his first fish... he was so happy!!!!
i will let the pictures do the talking... they say it all...
setting the line with great grandpa...
another catch...
reeling in another...
fish talk...
i remember him saying "whoooaaaa!" a million times...
wait for it...
love this picture!!!! "another good catch"

talking to grandpa about fishing...
telling us how big his fish was... he got the biggest catch of the day...
jones' fish lips... can you believe that i wont touch a worm... but a slimy fish doesnt bother me... haha...
