who needs legos....

...i am not trying to knock legos at all... i am pretty sure that we will be investing in them someday... but for now... jones loves to play with our trash...

the yogurt cups are 100% stackable... just like a lego...

... and they are very colorful... just like legos...

...especially when i draw faces in them for a fun surprise when you look inside...

love thursday:summer movie fun...

while waiting for our movie to start jones was entertained by our flashing camera... and once again within a couple shots shows some of his many gestures and faces...

i promise he is not even scared... i dont know what this face is...

memorial day...

what a great day...

we had so much fun... good people and good food...

we started out the day with some awesome breakfast burritos and memorial day smoothies...

then we later went to uncle tom and aunt kalenes house for swimming and a bbq with family...

jones of course was adventurous and found these canoes...

...this day now means a little more to us... i hate to admit this, but i had not thought of this holiday as i do now... when we came home that night from the sims house... we were greeted by a beautiful bouquet of flowers (see picture above) and a very sincere and heartfelt card... some dear friends brought these sweet gifts 'for a soldiers wife' as a thank you to brents service and my support... they know who they are... and thank you again! i cant tell you how much that meant... and so i also want to pass it along...

thank you to all who have served... are serving... beginning their service... are thinking of serving... will serve someday.... to you all... men and women... and the families to those brave men and women! without you... where would we be??? THANK YOU!!!

saturday night...

congratulations to my friend katie... she is no longer miss jackson... now mrs thomas... they had such a fun idea at their wedding... kind of like a photo booth... without the booth part... an area was set up for guests to take as many pictures as they wanted... i cant wait to see them all! we had fun!!!

you were beautiful!!! congrats!!!!

splash park...

today we went to tempe town lakes beach park...

jones loved the water splash park... at first very timid, especially when some crazy f-16s flew by and were super noisy, but eventually he didnt even care and i couldnt keep up with him...

(oh by the way... i forgot to mention on our blog that jones walks now... he went from not walking to practically running... fun, but crazy! he started walking this past sunday)...

we went with my aunt lynette, uncle ryan and their two boys harrison and breven... jones loved the slides, going up and down the stairs and following the other kids...

... then to fatburger... so yummy! jones would say "yyyuuummmm" and smacking his lips after and before every bite... he loved it! he could not wait to start eating in this picture...

did you know that glen bell, an ex-marine, was the founder of taco bell... so... since in my last letter brent wrote...

"hey... i have a good idea... you should go and eat some taco bell for me... man i miss that stuff!"

...i have now officially made tuesdays... taco bell tuesdays...

jones loves disneyland...

if a kid looks like this at 11:30 pm because he is having so much fun... that means he is in love...

...we went back to disneyland on friday and it was so much fun!

first... we got some buttons... "honorary citizen" and "first time" buttons... (although not his first time, he had never recieved a "first timer" button before... so i thought it was about time)

then of course we had to buy a cookie and the huge rice crispy square... those are my favorite... they are huge and delicious!

then... on to flik's flyers with rylee and parker...

then... to francis' ladybug boogie... i love this one...

we for sure went on its a small world... jones loves this one too!

later we tried out casey jr's train...

we were the "wild animals"...

and of course... we stood in line for dumbo... and once again... jones was so so so excited and could not wait to get on the ride...

we love disneyland... we had so much fun...

i have some chevron cars for jones... saved away for difficult days... in case we need some surprise... so funny thing is sunday (today) was a harder day... but also a day of celebration! one month is over and we only have two more months until we get to see brent... yeah!!!

i was so excited when such a simple idea turned out...

these are the water bottles that i "made" for stefani's baby shower... i was so excited that although easy and rather quick to do... they turned out looking so cute... i cant take credit for the idea... but i dont remember exactly where i found it either... so to whomever you are... thank you for such a cute idea! it worked great! i also cannot take credit for the poem... it came on the card... i only chose the colors, cut the papers, pressed print, cut ribbon and tied knots...

they totally work on me...

i saw this commercial and then within a day had to buy them.... although a fun and genious idea... i did not like them... or... i was dissapointed because they did not taste like an oreo... not bad... just not an oreo... but a very sweet idea, i also love the cereal straws... brent got me some last christmas... the froot loop ones!

...funny thing is that i just found this website and now want to try the "golden" fun stix... i told you... commercials work on me...

i was going through all our pictures trying to clean out the computer files... and i came across these pictures... i saved them for inspiration for "someday" things...

i love this couch, especially the color with the high contrasting pillows!

i also love this color again, but with the bed... so beautiful!!! ...so high contrast!!!

stefani: she is amazing! she is having twins and is so excited! i am still amazed that she ran a 1/2 marathon when she was 17 weeks along! crazy!!

costa vida was awesome! thanks for such a fun "date"!!! i had never tried their chicken tacos with corn tortillas... so good! that is what i will be getting next time i go...
