the nursery...

almost finished... other than the drapes, the room is finally complete! (so dont pay much attention to them, they arent finished yet)...

... as i have said before, i have fallen in love with the color blue... there is not one shade of this color that i do not like... so one wall is "heaven" blue while the other is "floretine" blue...

close up of the crib... i love this bedding... and it will help with coordination and development because of the black and white contrast... or something like that...

i had some different ideas of how i wanted to decorate this wall... but also had many difficulties trying to get what i wanted... especially when i was not supposed to be doing very much... so i finally decided on painting my own pictures... and i am very pleased on how they turned out... even better i used the two blue paint colors from the walls and a black that i used to paint the book shelf to paint both pictures... making them match the room perfectly!

the changing table/dresser... gatta love ikea!!!

i found this picture... which is actually a postcard... while in spain at a picasso museum... when i bought it i had not noticed that the woman is pregnant... but i loved it... after looking at it later and figuring out that she is pregnant i loved it even more... so i named this our first family picture with baby #1
someday my hair might be that long...
the other side of the room... and the reasons why i had to incorporate brown... seeing as how the closets are stained brown and the tile is a beige brown tone... it could not be ignored...

i have not used this yet, but absolutly love and am intrigued by the idea... sleep sheep... it has four sound setting that will help sooth your baby... i am so excited to try it out.

How fun! I'm jealous...right now Riley's room is the guest bedroom at Grandpa's so it's not exactly decorated like a little girl's room. You have lots of cute stuff! Let us know how the sleep sheep works!
