the nursery...

almost finished... other than the drapes, the room is finally complete! (so dont pay much attention to them, they arent finished yet)...

... as i have said before, i have fallen in love with the color blue... there is not one shade of this color that i do not like... so one wall is "heaven" blue while the other is "floretine" blue...

close up of the crib... i love this bedding... and it will help with coordination and development because of the black and white contrast... or something like that...

i had some different ideas of how i wanted to decorate this wall... but also had many difficulties trying to get what i wanted... especially when i was not supposed to be doing very much... so i finally decided on painting my own pictures... and i am very pleased on how they turned out... even better i used the two blue paint colors from the walls and a black that i used to paint the book shelf to paint both pictures... making them match the room perfectly!

the changing table/dresser... gatta love ikea!!!

i found this picture... which is actually a postcard... while in spain at a picasso museum... when i bought it i had not noticed that the woman is pregnant... but i loved it... after looking at it later and figuring out that she is pregnant i loved it even more... so i named this our first family picture with baby #1
someday my hair might be that long...
the other side of the room... and the reasons why i had to incorporate brown... seeing as how the closets are stained brown and the tile is a beige brown tone... it could not be ignored...

i have not used this yet, but absolutly love and am intrigued by the idea... sleep sheep... it has four sound setting that will help sooth your baby... i am so excited to try it out.

I never thought that at the age 0f 24 the days of styling my flowing mane of hair would be over.
Maybe it's my bald ancestors.
Maybe it's the prenatal vitamins I used to take in high school so my hair would grow faster.
Maybe it's the Argentine lice.
Maybe it's so I'm not so dad gum beautiful.

Whatever the reason may be, a buzz is all I'm able to do with my hair anymore. But not with the new mane on my face.

This one is for all my pop-culture-magazine-reading-peeps. It's called "Tom Selek meets Adnan"

Hillary Clinton asked me to come up with a cool way to show her hipper, younger supporters that she believes in equal rights. As you can see, upper and lower lip are treated the same while both co-existing in their beautiful separate ways.

i never thought i would say...

i never thought i would say, "can we have steak for valentines day"... yeah, can you believe it, i dont know the last time that i have ever asked for steak, i am pretty sure that has never happened... pregnancy is weird... since being pregnant with our baby boy, i have been trying more and more meat, and actually enjoying it... weird... and even more weird, the steak was so good!

we went to the armida steak house last night and i almost ate the whole steak myself!

and since the guy could not figure out our camera and i didnt like the picture he took, we took our own... kind of a family picture i guess.... since you can definitely see where the baby is!

i made it to 36 weeks, we'll see how much longer i last...
...and since i am technically still on bed rest and not supposed to be going anywhere, brent had rented this movie, i thought it was really sweet, sad... but sweet

hope you all had a wonderful valentines day!!!

brisk saturday morning...

i cant think of a better way to start off the day... you know when you havent had something for awhile and then you finally find yourself cooking it and after eating wondering why you had abandoned or forgotten it... well that is how i feel about french toast this week...

i know, it is actually something very simple... but i fell in love again...i had forgotten how much i love french toast...

it started one morning of this week, i cannot remember the exact day... we had everything but bread to make french toast, so i opted for english muffins... and to top it all off we even had strawberries!!! i would recommend anyone that likes french toast to try it with english muffins, the density of the english muffins made it so wonderful...

...this brisk saturday morning we had french toast made with hawaiian sweet bread. this bread is one of my favorites ... i am pretty sure you can find it at any grocery store in the baking aisle and you have to try it!!!

back to the french toast... i added a little coconut to the egg mixture, an idea that came from the back of the box... so good, and i just had to share...

what a beautiful morning it is... hope you are all having a wonderful saturday!!!
