jones is having a hard time going to nursery... it is hard...
his first day ever going to nursery is when i expected it to be hard... but no... that first day he walked right in and didnt even say goodbye... didnt even look back... it was me that had a hard time... a little sad that it was so easy for him to go...
but not now... ever since we moved to our ward here... he has not gone in willingly... the nursery leaders here have been newly called and are amazing! they are doing so many things to make nursery more organized and have taken personal interest in making it an enjoyable time for all... we have been trying a trick thanks to sister d... she suggested that we bring one of jones favorite toys... so mcqueen (his favorite toy of the day) could watch him while in nursery... it seemed to help... we are still trying to improve and it is harder now that brent is gone... we used to take turns going in with him until it was a good parting time... but now i am obviously solo... last sunday was the worst... i am a relief society teacher and had my lesson... i had to leave him and it was not a good moment... or moments... luckily like i said, the nursery leaders are awesome and handled it...
i thought we could maybe try something new once again... we made a cake and then went to brother and sister d's house to deliver... at first very apprehensive to go... even more about giving away his cake... i had to reassure him that we had another one waiting for us at home... but it was perfect... we played and got to know the d's for an hour... he was in heaven... i hope that it helps for future nursery days... we will find out soon...

speaking of hard to part with... jones and i were at the store saturday and he fell in love with a dinosaur and carried it around the store...
let me clarify carry... he already walks a toddler/2 year old pace... well... he walked the dinosaur around the store... on the dinosaurs feet... luckily it was a lazy saturday afternoon and we didnt have much to do... and lucky i can laugh...
anyway... back to the story... when we finally reach the checkout... he all of a sudden doesnt want to give up his dollar that grandma m had given him for valentines day... "which one, the dollar or the dino" i had to tell him... after thinking for a minute... he finally handed the checkout clerk the dollar... it was hard for her to not laugh... but he was so happy and wont stop talking about his new dinosaur... who doesnt love the dollar toys from walmart???
