fruits of our labors...

i am happy to say that we have been enjoying the "fruits" of our labors...

really they are vegetables... but they are still good!

i took a picture of my first salad... but it wasnt so pretty... and i was way too hungry to care... but i can report that the earthbound farms mixed baby greens were so yummy! at first it was hard for me to believe that i grew them... i hope i can get their seed packets more often!

next... we tried our first pea pod... they were also very tasty... jones says 'yummm' as he makes a face of disgust... he is learning to like veggies... slowly but surely...

i love my new found hobby... gardening is the best!!!

memorial day weekend

memorial day weekend was great! we went to the beach all weekend to play with friends... the weather was beautiful... and it was fun to see some mesa friends one day and hang out with others the next...

believe it or not... there is bucket under all those heads with sand crabs... they were so excited to find as many as they could to collect in this huge bucket...

jones even held one for a second...

and then he ate all their food... see it all over his face...

this is the story of our lives:

i bring food where ever we go...

he doesnt seem to care...

he bats his eyes...

whomever is looking his way spoils him and gives him their food...

i am not even exaggerating...

i am not lying for one second when i tell you that we were at disneyland a few weeks ago and he stared to get food... we were waiting for the parade to start and no joke... jones sees this cute little family with a whole tray of food they just bought for dinner... they sat down by us and started eating... and jones is just staring at them... practically drooling... the mom asks me, "do you care if i give him a french fry?" i tell her that its ok, he is fine and doesnt need to steal their food... she says its alright and as long as i dont mind she knows what it is like to have children, especially boys... so my little mooch gets a french fry and while he is eating that... see digs through her bag and then asks if i care if she gives him a new bag of doritos... which happen to be his favorite chip...

back to the beach... he wont eat peanut butter and jelly... i LOVE p.b & j's... who doesnt??? but he will not eat them... so when molly and shelly offered one of the sandwiches they made for the beach... i told them no... he said yes and the ate the whole thing...

i still cant get him to eat my p.b. & j's.... i just tried a couple days ago...

enjoying their chips until the last crumb...

and then he ate their fruit snacks...

their grapes...

their oreos...

and anything else they pulled out of their bags...

at least somebody liked what i brought...

riggs drank out of a straw for the first time... and loved this capri sun...

i do love that jones loved seeing "the baby"...

after finding jones reading to himself... feet crossed and everything... he requested that we go to the store and read 'clifford the big red dog'... or in other words barnes and noble... looks like that will be a more usual friday night date for us than i thought... and i am not complaining... i love that he loves books!

then saturday was my turn to choose...

and i chose pinkberry...

and because there is a pinkberry very very close to this outdoor mall... we walked around a bunch and found a few sights...

first... and my favorite.... this huge waffle...

jones is obsessed with waffles... i believe that i already told the story of brent asking him if he was going to eat waffles in a video he made... and ever since we literally eat waffles almost every morning...

so when jones saw these waffles... he was very excited...

and then he kept talking about train tracks... i finally understood... do you see them???

chocolate pinkberry = pinkberry mustache... goatee... stained shirt...

thank goodness for oxi-clean!

chocolate is good... but i love my original with honey and almonds... i just cant get enough... i have to get a medium as it is because jones goes to town and eats half...
