so much to say and so little time... i know all i have are excuses for not being a good blogger the last month and almost a half... but here they are none-the-less...
a pretty good excuse... being a mom...
a lame excuse... the other job (designing homes and furniture) ...
a churchy excuse... the new calling...
another churchy excuse... being released from the new calling (keep reading and then you'll understand) ...
a work excuse... getting the house my parents bought finished up...
a not enough boxes excuse...last minute moving into the house that we finished up for my parents... (i know... crazy huh!!! we now live in an awesome house that is about 6 times the size of our old house... but i guess it was very very very tiny! and... we now live down the street from the beach... jones loves taking the quads to the beach.... wait now i just told everyone that we have time to go to the beach and ride quads but i have not even posted for 5 weeks straight...opppssss) ...
a fun excuse... but still an excuse... having visitors...
the bigger excuse... in our new house we dont even have internet... (that means that i have to go to the office and hold jones on my lap while trying to type this... not very easy when he wants to help every second along the way) ...
the worst excuse... having way too much fun being so super close to the beach... (i know we were only a 10 to 15 minute drive away from the beach before, but now when we can be there in a minute... it is so much easier... plus, jones can crawl now and loves finding every kind of rock... and throwing sand in his hair... he loves it) ...
a traveling excuse... we had to go to mesa few times (once again keep reading) ...
a party excuse... planning jones 1st birthday... (i cant believe that he is almost one... this sunday at 11:45pm jones brent martindale will be turning one year old... crazy... he is so grown up) ...
literally our biggest excuse...
we will be moving, again, but this time back to the usa... we are very excited to annouce that after much thought, prayer, fasting and deliberation... that we have decided that our time here in mexico has come to an end... we have had many wonderful and memorable moments here that we will never ever forget... we have learned much and are sad to leave so many wonderful friends that we now consider family... however... as i said, we are very excited to start this new chapter of our lives and see what we will encounter as we start our new journey....
brent has enlisted with the united states marine corps... a 5 year enlistment... he reports to boot camp march 16th (his dads birthday) and we believe that he will be graduating june 19th (his moms birthday) ... jones and i will be living with my parents while he is away... although we know that boot camp... especially when joining the marines... is the toughest in the world... we both feel so good about this choice and our actions... after brents completion of boot camp we will then be moving to monterey california, where brent will be going to school at the defensive language institute (dli) to learn one of three languages, russian, arabic or korean (he will find out which language while in boot camp)...
we feel very blessed to know that we are being watch by our heavenly father... we know that he has had a hand in helping us decide where we should go and what we should do... we have recieved, after many difficulties, many tender mercies to help us reach our decision and to know what our goal is... thank you to all the family and friends that have been thinking and praying for us... we greatly appreciate you and love you all...
thus ends my list of excuses... i... from here on out... promise to be a better and more devout blogger...

Wow!!! I have missed your blogs, but I'm glad to hear that you are doing well. Good luck to you guys, and maybe we'll be able to see you now that you are coming back to the States! Congratulations to Brent and you, although I'm sure you'll miss Mexico.

That's so crazy! So many things going on for you guys, I'm glad that you guys were able to make a decision and feel good about it. You guys will be closer to family and super close to Shauna and Justin, yipee!! Good luck with everything, we'll keep tabs on you guys.
We sure miss you guys! I wish we could be there for Jones' party, give him a hug for us and good luck with everything!
WOW! What a huge change you guys have coming for your family. It is so great that you have such a close knit family to lean on.
I can't believe he is going into the Marines?? Is there a chance he can be deported??
