happy 4th...

we have been having a fun weekend... how about you???

one highlight... we buried brent in the sand...

and then turned him into a merman [you know a male mermaid]... he was a good sport and posed for many pictures... 

then jones wanted to be a sand angel...

nothing better than a good old family photo on the beach!

we might send this picture to "awkward family photos"...

im ready...

where are you sweet little girl...

i have a room all ready for you and i cant wait to meet you...

brent has been busy and we have been to home depot for more and more spray paint a few too many times... but i am so happy with how everything turned out... he was so sweet to paint the crib grey when i know it wasnt his idea of fun!!  but it turned out perfectly!!!

same with the chair... where white is now - used to be birch wood...

love the curtains, art on the wall and the bird in the first picture... thanks to karen - she made them all!

and i love that the sleep sheep and crib bedding can be used again... it goes perfectly with the colors i wanted to decorate with... black, white and gray with touches of pink and ecru...

now i just have to wait...

actual due date july 9th 2011...

next appointment july 7th 2011...

i am hoping shes here before either of those...

he just "got" this little family of horses on the back of his car that already includes our little girl...

his loving brother derek thought it would be the funniest thing ever to put an animal family of stickers on brents car since he does not like horses at all... what an animal hater i married...
dont you love the pink bows around the girl horses necks... that was thanks to brents mom... she and cole were the actual ones to put these on his car while they were here over the weekend...
they put them on saturday night and we didnt discover them until sunday evening...
brents words :: "who put those freaking stickers on my car!!!  ...how embarrassing - i hope no one noticed those dumb stickers!"

lets go padres...

it was "mormon night at the padres"... so we went!

it was so fun! and we ate a lot!  and i had fun taking pictures...

hot dogs!!!  brent couldnt believe that i had never ever had a baseball hot dog... so i tried one... and actually enjoyed it...  mustard, ketchup, relish, onions...  being pregnant does weird things to me... i think i have mentioned that i have been buying bacon recently... that is amazing to even me!!!

eating again... churros this time... it was huge and he finished the whole thing!!!

at first... before the churro and my jones was happier... jones wasnt so happy... partly because of this guy...  he yelled and yelled and yelled "lets go padres, lets go" so loudly that jones just sat there with his fingers in his ears and told us "its too loud, i want to go home"...

but then he got over it... yeah!!!  and we would help him to see that the players were hitting the ball like we do at home and catching it and running... ect... he thought that was awesome!  he loves to play baseball with his dad!

popcorn... i loved that he shared with skye and that she quickly pointed out that the most yellow popcorns tasted the best!!

yes... the stands are empty now... we stayed a bit later so we could watch the softball players hit balls out of the park... that way we wouldnt have to sit in as much traffic!!

smart thinking guys!!!

thanks eric and harmony for driving all the way back to our house to get our tickets after i had forgotten them at home and didnt realize it until we were 15 minutes plus away from home...

such a fun night... and when we left we were near sea world at the perfect time so we went to fiesta island and watched shamus fireworks... both jones and skye were wide awake somehow and chanted "shamu shamu" together!

so fun!

g&g martindale weekend...

we had a fun weekend while grandma and grandpa martindale and cole came to visit...

we saw cars 2...

ate fudge bars...

made "pizzas" with grandma...

 and brent...

ate hot dogs cooked on the bon fire...

owen gave them a thumbs up...

jones loved them and ate the whole thing without saying a word!!

the best part... for dessert grandpa made woofums sticks so we could have try them out at our own bon fire... they were delish!

the filling::

chocolate pudding and whipped cream

or

mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and ham

and of course smores too!

.... we couldve stayed all night!  it was so fun! ...

....

not pictured - but we also played at the toy store, ate at mcdonalds and played at their "play place", ate yummy food, went to the park and chased birds...

and then had to say goodbye...

she was so awesome!  i LOVE the oceanside lifeguards and swim teachers!  they are so amazing!  on jones first day... i wasnt sure how the rest of the two weeks were going to work out - but they were awesome and he loved it!  his last day he woke up and first thing he asked me was if we were going to go to swim lessons...

i love my little seahorse swimmer... he loved miss jen and being in her class...

its always fun to have friends come to town... nothing better than good excuses to play all day and eat out at our favorite places...
