christmas clean up

one day i asked jones to get his shoes so we could get ready to go... he came out from his room with his whole basket of socks, then in a few moments as i went to get his shoes... and as i came back to the front room the socks had been thrown all over... and as we picked them up we found that some of them were missing... i figured that we would find them someday... maybe he put them in the dirty clothes (nope)... maybe they were now in his toy box (nope)... who knows... they cant just disappear...

well... that was a few weeks before christmas...

a week after christmas... as we were taking the ornaments off our tree... guess what we found... our missing white socks and black socks... they had been camouflaged into our tree..

as you can see in the top photo... jones thought it was pretty funny...

after christmas sales... dont you love them!?!?

i do... we found this kid friendly make your own gingerbread and then paint them kit from target... so we had fun... jones, after painting them all decided his favorite part were the eyes... pure sugar...

he is becoming too cool to look at the camera...

the first snow for jones

we went to mesa for a couple days to spend christmas with famliy...

then for christmas eve we went to payson for a fun day in the snow... we had so much fun!!!

christmas on knob hill

i hate it when i let a month go by before i actually post the amazing pictures that shauna took! of course i forgot my camera... and shauna did not, so she got some great shots of the spectacular house on knob hill oceanside ca... over 80,000 lights...

crazy...

and santa was there and jones actually told him what he wanted (ok, i helped), but he was happy for just a few seconds when santa was talking to him about wanting a bike... so cute and amazing light display!!!

i think this may be one of my favorites... there is something i love about pictures of people when they are so happy and dont even know that there is a picture being taken... i love catching a picture of brent in the middle of a laugh... LOVE...

and then it was my turn to try?!?! to take a picture of the hollobaugh family... at least you can see that there were a million cool lights in the background...

then we had to share with the hollobaughs one of our favorite treats... happy to report... they loved it too!!! yumm!!! and with justins awesome, and much better than my photography skills, he got beautiful shots of all of us shoving our pinkberry down our throats... as if we were hungry... we just ate taco bell... but couldnt pass up going to pinkberry even though it was totally out of the way...

i will spare those shots and post only the cute kids...

so happy to have visitors...

jones was very happy to see his cousins!!! we love our visitors...

we shared "dinos" with them... (marshmallows covered in sprinkles on a stick)... as a welcome to oceanside treat...

love thursday... santa and his reindeer...

did you know that santa visits disneyland....

...he promised jones that he would be sure to visit soon...

... then we went to visit santas reindeer... i promise they are in the background...

it is so so super rainy today... 70% chance of rain all day and night... and crazy gale force winds...

so...

i just found this website.... and i am in love with some of the ideas... i already liked to recycle... but being in california makes you want to recycle even more... the city gives you different bins to sort your recyclables and you can even go and turn some of your stuff in for $$$ back... anyhow... i think we could all do a little better about helping our mother earth and recycling more...

plus... the website also has some fun ideas for a green christmas...

this company lets you order your own granola the way you like it and then delivers it to your door... yum!!!!

thank goodness the sun came out for twenty minutes so we could get out of the house to take pictures of us in our rain boots... i knew they would come in handy someday...
