wagon rides...

one day while we were out back working in the yard i was trying to figure out how to make ellis happy for just a few more moments so that we could finish up a few things... she would not be able to sit up in the wagon very well yet... so i got the empty box of wipes and put her in that on top of the wagon... turns out it was the best idea ever! jones loves to pull her and she loves to be pulled...

we now go on a lot of wagon rides!

its pretty funny to see peoples reactions as we walk around the neighborhood...

the best was when this guy couldnt stop laughing and then finally said, "its like a huggies commercial... and her head... just popping out of the top of the box like that... so cute" he could hardly get his words out...

on another occasion spiderman decided to come along...

this was a day when he asked me to take his picture... cheeseball...

ps...

i dont have any pictures of it... but wanted to remember how fun it was... this year i found a little red mailbox from targets dollar spot that jones would get "mail" or a valentine in every morning... kind of like a valentines day countdown... so starting february 1st and up until valentines day he would run and see what was in his mailbox...

some mornings when he wasnt quite awake, i would have to remind him... but by the end of it he knew what to do and loved seeing what was inside...

most mornings i had to put a valentine with a clue on it telling him where to look because the prize was too big to fit... the mailbox was small

he got things like a book, red bubbles, of course some valentine candy, a microscope, a new notebook [he LOVES notebooks!] and a few other random things that we thought would be fun for him to find...

the last day, february 14th, he had to go from one valentine clue to the next to find his real valentine day surprise...

cant wait for next valentines day!

yay...

i love valentines day... not necesarrily for me... but just to celebrate a day of love with these lovelies...

we had a fun afternoon at the botanical gardens... i really will have a boat race stream in my future dream backyard... someday...

then... what could make a better night than a heart shaped pizza... a lovely boquet of tulips from my lover... and french berry lemonade we won at the valentine white elephant party

again... happy valentines day...

uss midway...

this month is museum month... that means discounts on museums...

uss midway museum...

[big smile... we love museums... jones randomly will ask me to go to them]...

jones was just a little excited!

this is the tom cat from top gun... brent and i still need to see that movie... i know crazy... how can you not have seen that movie... i have no idea... but still have not...

jones kept telling us he had to go "drive the ship"... because we were on a ship [aircraft carrier]... but he was on an airplane... hes funny...

we went to the zoo...

we have lived here this long and finally went to the zoo...

why did it take us so long!!!

grandma shell was in town... so we picked jones up from school and went straight there! it was so fun!

we were only like 5 feet from this guy... it was crazy that i could hear his tongue scraping against the bone he was gnawing on...

i loved it and even better... the kids loved it!

january friends...

in january some friends from utah were visiting their family here... so we were lucky enough to meet up at the beach and hang for the afternoon then go to dinner...

the last 7 months that we lived in mexico, they lived there too...

so jones and trevor were friends since jones was 5 months old...

we had some good times...

carving watermelons in stead of pumpkins for halloween (b/c they dont really have pumpkins there nor do they celebrate halloween)...

trying new restaurants to find the best steak house...

and one of my favorites... baile latino classes... or mexican jazzercise...

these boys had so much fun! i wish they could have played for more than just one afternoon... they were hilarious at dinner... i hope everyone else at bull taco didnt mind their funny faces

...and awesome dance moves (see first pic too)...

but one of the craziest things... but most awesome things is...

holly is an amazing person, such a good friend and mother!

and she wrote invaluable...

it is awesome to me that when the other day i went to deseret book to get a few things for primary that a whole endcap was dedicated to her and her book!!

... i made sure to make her sign my copy when she came to visit...

and then how fun it is to hear about when others read her book... the other day at church one of the speakers was a youth speaker and she told about how this is her favorite book and that it has helped her in her life...

im just a little proud of my friend...

other randoms...

ellis got her first tooth december 19th... then the second december 31st...

and since it has taken me this long to write about it... she just got her third on february 13th and the fourth is close to breaking through... poor girl!

jones likes to read the newspaper... as i was cleaning up out back he was telling me how much everything cost and what was on sale... he found a sale on ice cream at rite-aid... so we went that night! thrifties ice cream... cookies and cream!!!

and sometimes she has to hold her hand in her mouth so it cant escape...

and other times she has to do this inbetween each bite of food...

and stick her pointer finger up her nose...

and rub her pinky finger on the side of her nose...

this little girl is feisty... one day she was hitting the spoon and bowl out of my hands, spitting her food everywhere and just making a mess... i think everyone knows i dont always do well with messes... so although i was a frustrated i decided to laugh it off and smile... got my phone out to take a picture of the mess she was and had made to send to brent - then she pulled out this face...

2 weeks...

we had such a great christmas and new year in arizona...

it was so fun to spend time with family and friends for two weeks!

unfortunately i left my camera at urban before we got to arizona, so i dont have many pictures and the ones i have are iphone... not always the greatest... but better than nothing... or other peoples pics

first... how fun is it to see your friends kids together... they are all so cute!
